Harvest Cycle
Bike-delivered farm shares for busy Providence families
Harvest Cycle is Providence's first and only pedal-powered veggie delivery service.
Sol Chariots is partnering with local farms to bring you fresh fruits and veggies straight from the farm to your doorstep.
What You Get: More than just a farm share
Harvest Cycle is the best way for busy Providence families to get their local produce all season long. Harvest Cycle is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model that helps small, local farms bridge the gap between starting the season and harvesting by allowing local customers to buy a share of the yield in advance. Sol Chariots seeks to get more local food to more local people by breaking down transportation barriers and providing a convenient, pollution-free connection to nutritious fruits and veggies!
As a Harvest Cycle Member, each week you will receive:
- a box full of fresh local produce
And from our partner farms, Harvest Cycle members also get:
- FREE entry to our Harvest Festival Kiddo Dance Party (details to follow)
- Access to Freedom Food Farm’s PICK-YOUR-OWN produce sections
- FREE attendance to Freedom Food Farm's Workshop Series

Sidewalk Ends Farm
Sidewalk Ends Farm was founded in the spring of 2011 as a 5000-square foot urban farm in Providence’s Armory Park neighborhood. Once a vacant lot, the farm has become a hub of food production, beauty, and community education. We sell our chemical-free produce at the Armory Farmers Market (a mixed-income market around the corner from the farm) and to our neighbors through a CSA. We also provide produce to local restaurants as a member of the Little City Growers Co-op, an urban and peri-urban direct marketing cooperative.
While our headquarters on Harrison St. remains a home base for our CSA pick-up and educational programs, the major crop production now happens outside the city; in 2014 we expanded our operation onto two acres in Seekonk, MA. This additional space allows us to try out new crops and practices, and grow a greater quantity of the varietals we know well.
