Meet the Charioteers

Meet our dynamic team of worker-owners and co-operators. As a worker co-op, we pride ourselves on being a collaborative team that builds on the skills of all its members!

Ash Trull

One of the founding members of Sol Chariots Pedicab Cooperative, Ash is the Advertising Coordinator and Co-op Development Coordinator. She came to found Sol Chariots through her intersecting passions for bikes and for environmental and social justice. She brings to the co-op 8 years of grassroots organizing experience, a passion for movement-building to grow new economies, and a background with community economic development. In 2015, Ash was chosen for the Democracy at Work Network’s Co-op Peer Advisor Apprenticeship program, where she will learn the technical skills of helping other people start co-ops and worker-owned enterprises. When she’s not working at Sol, she’s either harvesting vegetables in her backyard farm, singing kareoke, or reading sci-fi.

Joey Dizio

Joey is the Pedicab Coodinator bringing one full and fruitful season of experience with pedicabbing. In his other role as the in house Graphic Designer, he brings 7 years of experience in the visual arts to his work at Sol Chariots.  When he can’t be found pedicabbing or messing around the studio, it’s ’cause he’s probably hiking, reading, writing or drawing large and elaborate illustrations in pencil, ink, or paint.  On some occasions he’s been seen eating and sleeping.  His favorite shoe size is 15, but most sources report he sports shoes closer to size 9.

Ally Trull

Ally Trull, know affectionately within the co-op as “Azar,” co-founded Sol Chariots Pedicab Cooperative with her twin sister Ash in August 2012. Ally’s primary role in the co-op is Special Events Coordinator. As a professional bike mechanic, she also uses her wrench-wielding super powers to maintain Sol Chariot’s fleet of pedicabs and delivery bikes. She has been pedicabbing for 5 years and has been wrenching on bikes for 8 years. When she’s not pedaling for Sol, Ally works as a mechanic and instructor at Recycle-a-Bike, a community bike shop in Providence. Fresh from her training in Ashland, Oregon at the renowned United Bicycle Institute, Ally is currently getting Sol cabs in gear for the 2016 season.  Her blood type is A positive and she enjoys flossing, underground pigeon racing and strumming on the ol’ banjo.

Irene Beauregard

Irene is the Delivery Coordinator and Assistant Mechanic for Sol Chariots. After several years working as a carpenter and electrician for various theaters in NYC on shows such as Fun Home (the musical), Irene returned to her home state to spend more time with her awesome family. Besides working with her fabulous fellow charioteers, Irene enjoys long bike rides, cooking with garden-fresh food, and building furniture from scrap lumber. Personal achievements while riding with Sol include: taking a full pedicab uphill to the Renaissance hotel, juggling on the job, and learning to tell strange men “don’t touch me.” If you need any help in your garden, in your house, fixing, building, or moving something, email irene@solchariotspedicab.com, she’s your scrappy tomboy for the job.
